Albert William Lester, 83, son of the late Albert O. and Essie G. Lester went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2016.

Born in South Portland, ME, he was a 25 year Navy veteran serving in both the Korean and Vietnam wars retiring as a Master Chief Machinery Repairman. Upon Retirement from military service, Albert worked for Bath Iron Works and the Army Corps of Engineers.

Albert has been described as a hardworking patriot with a gentle manner and dry wit who deeply loved his family, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and had a passion for wood working.

Albert was predeceased by his wife of 44 years Janet Marie Lester. He is survived by his son Glen Lester (Korin) and family of Chesapeake, VA, daughter Lynn Fraga (Matt) and family of Hebron, CT; his sister Alberta Foster (Robert) of Southport, ME; and four grandchildren, Austin, Savanna, Samuel, and Elizabeth.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences may be expressed to the family at below.
