Anne Virginia Davidson Koelling

November 4, 1923 - July 23, 2016

Anne Virginia Davidson Koelling, of Virginia Beach, entered Eternal Life on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the age of 92 years. She was born on November 4, 1923 to Richard Spencer Davidson and Martha Norfleet Davidson in Norfolk, VA. She worked for many dedicated years for the Virginia Beach Public Schools as a bus driver. In her free time she was a member of the United Methodist Women and a former First Lady of the Dixie Squares Square Dance Group. She was also a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.


Anne was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Richard, Jack, Billy, Donald, John Wayne; and one sister, Mary.


Left to cherish her memory are her husband Robert W. Koelling, Sr.; son Gary Koelling and his wife Alexis; son Robert W. Koelling, Jr. and his wife Deborah; granddaughter Glenn; and grandson Everett; and brother Alvin Davidson and his wife Maryann. Further survived by other relatives and friends.


Visitation for Anne will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Altmeyer Funeral Home (5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach, VA) from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be held on Thursday July 28, 2016 at Rosewood Memorial Park (631 N. Witchduck Rd. Virginia Beach, VA) at 12:00 PM. Reception to follow at Heritage United Methodist Church, 815 Baker Rd. Virginia Beach, VA.
