Arthur “Art” “Red” Leo Yevlove, 89 years young, passed Tuesday March 29th.
Art was born in the Bronx, New York on May 6th, 1926. He graduated from NYU, was a WWII army veteran, and worked for Grumman Aerospace.
He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor, and upstanding and devoted member of society. He was a very generous man in every sense of the word and his presence lit up any room. He will be remembered by his sense of humor and endless love of the simpler, more important things in life.
His beloved wife and best friend of 52 years Lucy Yevlove preceded Arthur in death. He is survived by his daughter Karen Elise Stout, son Marc Yevlove, brother Julius Yevlove, grandchildren Lauren Harlan, Will Stout, and Daniel Stout, and great grandchildren Emmett Scott Burket and Turner William Burket.
A memorial service will be held on 47th street beach at the north end of Virginia Beach at 2:30 pm on Thursday April 7th. A celebration of life will follow at Rudee’s on the inlet Restaurant.
