Bobby Chris Woods, 51, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2018. Born February 19, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii, he has resided in childhood home in Virginia Beach since 1975. He is survived by his loving, gracious mother; Monica E. Woods; his adoring wife, Jeannie Dianne Woods, and her children whom he treated as his stepchildren are extremely blessed to have him in their lives for such a short period of time; Patricia and Melissa Pegram and Zachary Ellis. His beloved brother Brian Woods and wife Mary Woods; nephews Aiden and Bobby Woods; niece Brandy Barker and husband Clayton Barker, and great niece Ava Barker; and brother Jeffrey Appleman. His beloved sisters; Pearl Craig and husband Alvin Craig, Edna Ramirez nieces Nikole Solis, Gloria Thompson and husband Cedric Thompson; great niece Jovial Thompson, Nephews, Shawn, Dwight and Chad Tolliver and additional great nieces and nephews Own, Kan, Jaxon, Jett and Joelle Tolliver; Mother and father-in-law Dianne and Terry Kemp and brother-in-law Terry Kemp. He is also survived by aunts and uncles and many beloved Ohana members in Hawaii.
Bobby was a member of the Virginia Beach Moose Family Center Lodge #1198 since May 12, 2016. He was a warm, funny, hardworking and generous man. A loving, devoted and caring son to his mother. He enjoyed his life with his family and friends, fulfilling it with date nights with his wife, an avid golfer, a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, a current member of the AMF Lynnhaven League Bowlers and was a member of the Pin Boys Laskin Road League Bowlers with his mother for many years. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing darts, watching NASCAR and an avid MLB Mets Fan. He loved traveling and planned for future adventures with his wife and family. His love for his dogs, Stewie & Daphne was unwavering.
He was also known as “Bob”, “BDUB”, “Chris” and “Boreman Bob”. He currently worked as a Boreman Drilling Supervisor for Bryant Ritter Hewitt Electric Corporation. He also was employed by Krauss Construction, Shorecom Communications and SNS Global Security Systems.
He was a very loving, kind friend and has touched many lives. When in his presence you would always feel his compassion for a happy life. He will be very truly missed by his wife, mother, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, stepchildren and in-laws as well as many many friends. His wife is going to miss all of his sweet nicknames he called her such as “boo boo” as he was her “Yogi”.
Heaven has received a special loving angel to watch over all of us.
