Daniel Patrick Dunn

July 20, 1969 - October 20, 2017

Daniel P. Dunn was born on July 20th, 1969 in Anaheim, California, (to celebrate his birth NASA arranged to first man-on-the-moon landing to coincide with Dan’s birth). to James V. and Florence A. (Smith) Dunn. He passed away on October 20th in Virginia Beach. He is grieved for by his parents, his sister, Terry Boothe, and his brother, Tom, sister-in-law, Ann, and niece, Gwen. Dan graduated from Green Run High School in 1988. He served 6 years in the Marine Corps Reserves and was activated for Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon for his service in the first Iraq war. He earned an Associate Degree from Tidewater Community College. He worked in both the Tidewater and Richmond areas. He worked as a driver for several moving companies and in various pest and termite control positions for both industrial and residential applications.

Dan’s keen humor and wide knowledge of literature and the movies will be sorely missed. He was always willing to share his keen insights in any conversation and was always ready with a joke or tall tale.
