George F. "Junie" Hayden, Jr.

November 11, 1924 - January 29, 2018

George F. Hayden or “Junie” as he was best known, died Monday, January 29.  He was 93.  Junie was the son of the late George Hayden and Louise Hayden of Chesapeake.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Colonna and 10 siblings.  He is in heaven rejoicing now.

Death separate our bodies, but our hearts remain the same.  The memories of your love soothes away our pain.  Until we meet again with a very special brother, father, uncle and grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Brandy Brunell (Dean), Candy Cheely (Gary), and Donna Woods (John); 2 sisters, Lois DeFord (Roy) and Joyce Edwards (Chuck); 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Olive Branch Cemetery, City Park, Portsmouth at 2:00 pm with Pastor Calvin Corbitt officiating.  Express condolences to the family at
