Hilda Margarita Bohorques Gonzalez passed away peacefully on February 2, 2017. Born in Cuba in 1927, she escaped to the United States in 1961. A proud American citizen, she and her husband built a new life for themselves and their children.
She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Dario Gonzalez. She is survived by her children: Dario and Sha Gonzalez and Patricia and Bruce Rowan; five grandchildren: Brenda Gonzalez, Sarah Buonincontri, Paul Gonzalez, Sean Rowan and Alexis Rowan; and three great-grandchildren.
At Hilda’s request, services will be family only. Friends who wish to are encouraged to contribute to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or to a charity of their choice.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Sentara Windermere and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful and loving care of Mom.
