James Winthrop “Jimmy” Harder, Sr., 54, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2017. He was the son of Melvin G. and Martha L. Gay Harder. Jimmy was a beloved son and father who found his peace of mind in the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, hiking with his children, and spending time with his grandson, nieces and nephews. He worked for Maaco for 35 years as a unibody technician. Left to cherish his memory is his parents Melvin and Martha; his children, James Jr. and Emily; his sister, Deborah; his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 11 am at Altmeyer Funeral Home Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave, Virginia Beach. The family will be receiving friends the evening before at 7 pm for a time of togetherness. Please visit www.AltmeyerFH.com to offer a note of condolence.
