December 8, 1974 - December 9, 2016

Jing Joy Cao, 42, of Chesapeake, VA passed away December 9, 2016. “Joy” was born in Shanghai, China to Fang Ming Cao and Cui Di Liu. Besides her parents, she leaves behind her loving husband, Todd Glidden; and children, Mason and Tyler.
In her short time here with us, she brought an immeasurable amount of joy, laughter, pride, love and happiness to anyone who knew her. Joy graduated from Rutgers Douglass College with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. She served her country in the United States Navy. Joy graduated from National University with her MA in Instructional Design. She served as an EMS technician with Virginia Beach. Joy had nearly completed a Master’s in Physician Assistant at Eastern Virginia Medical School before being diagnosed with cancer. She was a loving mother, a wonderful wife, and a generous friend. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed.
A viewing will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road Virginia Beach Sunday morning at 9:00 am. A celebration of life will be held beginning at 10:00 am with a time of togetherness and a meal of consolation.
