John David Robb

August 11, 1935 - December 30, 2016

*** DUE TO INCLIMATE WEATHER, THE SERVICES HAVE BEEN MOVED TO WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11, AT 2:00 PM ***

Hearts and stock prices dropped sharply on the news of John ‘JD’ Robb’s, 81, passing on Friday, December 30, 2016. JD was born in Dallas, TX to the late Helena Knott Robb and David Young Robb. He graduated from SMU, was a member of Phi Delta Fraternity, an Eagle Scout, a veteran of the US Navy, and had a long and distinguished career on Wall Street. His interests and talents were many; jazz, opera, bridge, woodworking, model train displays, skiing, and golf.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Jo Robb; children, John David Robb, Jr. of Terlingua, TX, Mitchell Ries Robb of Richardson TX, and Anna Bowen Fitzgerald and her husband John of Chesapeake, VA; brother, Don Robb and his wife Suzy of Dallas, TX; and sister-in-law, Frances White and her husband Lew of Staunton, VA.

The family will be celebrating JD’s life on Wednesday, January 11th, at 2:00pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake. JD took fashion cues from no one. Like JD, the attire will be smart, cool casual. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Music Therapy Association or the Brain Injury Association of VA. Express condolences to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.
