Julia Lynn Sheppard, 51, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2018 surrounded by her family. Born Julia Lynn Richardson on July 18, 1966 in Takoma Park, Maryland, Julie is predeceased by her cherished mother Anita Louise Richardson and grandparents Walter and Evelyn Courtney, who helped raise her.
Left behind to treasure her memory is her devoted husband Jim, and her adoring sons, Kyle and AJ; loving sisters Debbie Painter (Mark), Tammy Perney (Michael), Connie Dodson (Zan), and Mary Consorti (Joe.) Julie is also remembered by a host of nieces and nephews along with many other family and friends.
Although she achieved a successful career in banking, rising to managerial and officer positions, Julie’s passion was always her family first. Nothing pleased her more than attending her sons’ school activities or sporting events, or just enjoying their company. Events such as picnics or parties with extended family and friends were also incredibly special to her.
Julie loved to travel, and favorite vacation spots included Disney World and the Jersey Shore, however Julie had a special fondness in her heart for Myrtle Beach, based on memories of her many joyful vacations there as a child and teenager. She passed that love on to her husband and sons.
Julie had a life long love of learning, which manifested itself in her final years as she became a fierce advocate for her health. She tirelessly researched the most recent medical advances regarding her condition, often surprising and educating her doctors about potential treatments.
Julie enjoyed movies (especially anything with Bruce Willis,) music, and attending concerts. She had a healthy curiosity about the supernatural and was particularly interested in television shows dealing with UFO’s, ghosts, and mythical creatures.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making memorial contributions to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in Julie’s name by clicking HERE.

Dear Jim, Kyle, and AJ, We were so very saddened to learn of Julie’s passing. She was/is a very special woman and her parting will be missed by many. I always enjoyed seeing her at family functions and chatting. She was always so pleasant and sweet. Praying the Lord puts His loving arms of comfort around you to strengthen you and give you peace. Praying you also find comfort in knowing that Jesus said He would go to prepare a place for all who believe in Him. We trust we will see her again. You will remain in our prayers. Much love, Cathy, Bryan, Allison, Daniel, Matt and Christian

So sorry for the loss of Mrs. Sheppard. Please take comfort in the hope for the future, when no one will say, “I am sick.” (Isaiah 33:24) Indeed, Jesus showed us what the future holds for life in the paradise earth when he even cured “every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity.” (Matt. 9:35) Until then, may the God of all comfort give you peace. With sympathy,
