LILLIAN REBECCA GOLDSMITH

VIRGINIA BEACH– Lillian Rebecca Goldsmith, 91, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 10, 2017. Born in Burkeville, Virginia to the late Allen Mallory Miller, Sr. and Anna Gertrude Miller, she was the widow of Laddie Goldsmith. She was a member of the Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church in Jamaica, New York. Lillian retired from the Department of Human Services as an eligibility worker.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Bernard Goldsmith and wife Shelby; two granddaughters, Danielle and Deanna Goldsmith; brother James Miller; sister Charlotte “Bernice” Harper; brother Mallory Miller, Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Va. Beach on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and a Celebration of Life ceremony at Brooks Memorial UMC, 143-22 109th Avenue, Jamaica, N.Y. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10am with visitation at 9am. The Reverend John T. Simmons, Jr. presiding. Burial to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
