Chesapeake – Mark John Hiby, 49 died December 5, 2015. Mark was born in Staten Island, NY to Elaine K. Hiby and the late George H. Hiby. He was a photographer, car enthusiast and mechanic, music lover, teller of bad puns and a pinball wizard. Mark was a member of the First Settlers Region Porsche Club of America and Tidewater Big Train Operators.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years, Wendy C. Hiby; children, Crista Lane Hiby of Virginia Beach and Robert George Hiby of Chesapeake; mother, Elaine K. Hiby of Virginia Beach; maternal grandmother, Helen Kaufmann of Staten Island, NY; brother, Eric D. Hiby of Ballwin, MO; grandson, Nathaniel David Ewell; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will be celebrating Mark’s life on Sunday December 13 at 2:00 pm at his residence. Jeans and t-shirt attire is required. Please bring your own chair. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia or a charity of one’s choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at
