Miguel A. Robles

February 28, 1944 - July 13, 2016

Miguel A, Robles, 72, passed away after a chronic illness Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Born in Puerto Rico to the late Otilio and Margarita Robles, Mike had been a long time resident of Manhattan, Kansas until his recent move to Yorktown, Virginia to be closer to his son’s family.

Mike had worked as a custodian for Kansas State University Vanier Complex. He was a long time member of the Unification Church founded by Rev. Moon who blessed him in marriage to his loving wife at Madison Square Garden in 1982. Mike also was part of the Ambassadors of Peace, Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, and initiated Home Church Ministry of Manhattan, KS.

His memory is left to be cherished by his wife of 34 years, Mary Helen (Mertz) Robles; son, Milen R. Robles and his wife Yiyoung Choi; three grandchildren; Jin A., Lynn R., and Eren S.; and sister; Margie Robles of Brooklyn New York; and daughter Aviva Dwyer and husband, John, and their children Carra and Grace.

A closure ceremony was held 2 pm Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel, Newport News, Va.
