Phyllis, Our hearts are heavy for you but we are thankful to know your mom is in heaven and we will see her again. The promise of everlasting life is given to us by our heavenly father who ensures we will never hurt again. We can only imagine Mildred looking over all that loved and admired her and keeping her ever watchful eye over her Lady Monarchs and Dallas Cowboys. We consider it an honor to have been around your mother and you. We will continue to pray for you and we will be ever so happy when you claim your seat again at the Ted.

I remember her vividly when she came to my baptism when I rededicated my life to Jesus. Thanks “Mom”. That is how we know her at V-88.

I enjoyed our many discussions at the coach’s shows and all the basketball games. Your mom was a trouper and a loyal Lady Monarch fan. So sorry for your loss.

Early June, this past year, in No. Canton, OH, met with my dear friend and her wonderful daughter at an IHOP for lunch before that sweet lady was going to the Football Hall of Fame! I still am amazed at how much she was able to do with all she had been going through and her wonderful, dedicated daughter made sure she was able to do all that she wanted. Phyllis, what would mom have ever done without you? It was such a sweet last meeting and I only wish my health right now would allow me to be at her memorial service, but she knew how much I loved her and I will miss her dearly. Dear, dear, dear Phyllis, all of us wish that we all could have a wonderful, caring, loving daughter as she had. You are an angel for sure!
