Nancy Marie Lucks

July 24, 1937 - April 9, 2016

Virginia Beach – Nancy Marie Lucks, 78, a woman who loved life fully and lived it well, passed away April 9, 2016. She was in her art studio surrounded by what brought her joy, when she went to be with the Lord. Nancy was born in Columbus, OH to the late Hartl William and Helen Anna Marie Kinzelman Lucks. She was an artist, who loved painting and sculpting. Her love of nature was reflected in her art.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving sister, Joan Guidry and Rick, of Virginia Beach; nieces Lisa Zader (Gus) of VA Beach and Tina Hooper (Jason) of Birmingham, AL; great nieces and nephews, Christina, Issac, Jackie, Julia, Joshua, Caleb, Samuel, and Emma Grace; Eddie Montgomery, who is like a son; Jane Webb who is like a sister; close friend, Mildred Marshall; Alan “Rick” Rickman and her other art students; and lifelong buddies and a host of other family and friends. She was a loyal friend who loved deeply and she will be greatly missed.

The family will be celebrating Nancy’s life on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please post your memories of Nancy and photos to and/or her facebook page. These will be combined into a memory book for the family.
