I have such fond memories of Jimmy, he was a Shepard for our family, My son Richard Jr, (Ted) Beason adored Jimmy and used him as a standard for pastors, most he found lacking. I just found out about Jimmy’s passing I was searching for him because I wanted to tell Jimmy of my son’s death due to cancer, Now knowing the two of them are reunited I feel better about my son’s journey. My God bless and keep the family and friends of this dear man.

Pastor Jimmy,
You always picked out a verse for new members when they joined Suburban Christian Church. I would like to pick out a verse for you, actually two, I couldn’t decide between other of these:

Psalm 77:19-20
You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Micah 5:3-5
And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the LORD,
in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God.

You were our shepherd. I thank you Jimmy for watching and praying over us; for being with us when we needed a spiritual boost, an uplifting word, a sermon to set us straight but most especially for feeding us the word of the LORD, our GOD.

As I’m sure you have already heard:
‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

I have such fond memories of Pastor Meads. He was instrumental in mine and my families’ spiritual growth. I always loved spending time in his office soaking in his spiritual wisdom. He was like another Grandfather to me… even introducing me to Hess Trucks! I always looked forward to a new one each Christmas. I know that Pastor Meads is rejoicing in heaven! My thoughts and prayers are with the Meads family that remain on earth. What a legacy Pastor Jimmy leaves. I am thankful he poured his heart into me for so many years.

We remember the years we were shepherd by Pastor Jimmy. He was a dynamic man of God. We loved listening to his messages and his way of getting all members involved in the ministry. We will miss his vibrant personality, but we know he is rejoicing in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Our prayers are with the family and ask for comfort for you during your time of mourning.

We are so saddened by the passing of our dear Pastor Meads. Pastor Meads was a great man of God who loved God & souls. He was a deep warrior who gave his all for the kingdom of God. We truly loved Pastor Meads & we will always remember him as a loving caring “gentle giant” with a heart of gold. May God comfort his family & give them peace in knowing he made it in & is now with His heavenly Father awaiting to meet with his loved ones. Do not be sad for he is in a far better place. He will be missed & forever loved. You have finished the course & now your heavenly Father has said “Well done thy good & faithful servant, enter in with Me.” May God bless this wonderful family.

I just heard the news of Mr. Meads passing and although it is sad news, he’s talking with God, I am sure of it! He was always so sweet and funny! He and Mrs. Meads were one of my first patients at PAHRC and we have grown to love them both. God bless your family with love and grace as you go through this tough time!
