Patricia Ann Levangie, 86, passed away on January 6, 2017 in Chesapeake, Virginia. She was born on October 5th, 1930 in Queens, New York to Henry Hoffman and Lillian McNally. She moved to Virginia in 1963 where she worked along with her sister Dorothy Buis “Bunny” at the Little Creek commissary for many years before retiring. She is predeceased by her parents Henry Hoffman and Lillian McNally, and her siblings Dorothy Buis, Mildred Murry, Harold Hoffman and George Hoffman. She is survived by her brother Joseph Hoffman; children Patricia Ann Levangie and Willis Ann Ingram; grandchildren Michael Levangie, Heather Thomas, William J. Ingram, Steven Ingram; and great-grandchildren Anthony, Raymond, Brandon, Joey, Lolita, Cevaar, Joelle, Aliyah, Tairik, Champelle, and Chantel, and a host of other wonderful family and friends. “Pat” loved spending time with her family and had an immense love for children and animals, and faithfully donated to St. Jude hospital for children and the ASPCA. She will be remembered by her generosity, laughter, and her out-spoken personality. A public service will be held at Altmeyer funeral home in Chesapeake on Monday at 1:00pm. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to Medi Hospice staff for the excellent care provided to our loved one and Beth Sholom Village staff for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or the ASPCA.
