Dear Charlene, Bonnie, Red and family,
I now receive the Clay County Free Press and read Paul’s obituary. I am sorry for your loss. He had a very outstanding life with his families and his career especially serving our county for 20 years for which I thank him. Hopefully we will see each other again someday. Sincerely, Ellakay Lakhia

Dear Joe Paul, Vicky, and Emily,
I was so sorry to read of Paul’s passing. We were neighbors to Paul and Goldie for many years and our families became very close. Paul was a good man and I know he will be missed.
My sympathy and thoughts are with you.

I was distressed to see Paul’s obituary in this morning’s paper. I was his family physician (for him and Goldie) for about 30 years, until my retirement in August. Please accept my condolences upon his passing. Paul was more than a patient to me; more of a friend. He often brought me frozen shrimp when he came to the office and helped us with a fencing issue. In addition, I also used to live next to Mabel in Fairfield. I will miss him.
