Robert Vernon Holliday, Sr.

November 25, 1945 - August 31, 2017

First I would like to thank you for visiting the site both family and friends alike.

Robert V. Holliday, 71, was born November 25, 1945 and passed August 31, 2017.

Dad was a selfless man who went through his life helping others.  We thank him for sharing his life with all of us. Our father had a great appreciation for humour. Despite the topic of conversation we could count on dad pulling out a joke with family and friends.

He wasn’t perfect. At times he could be overly critical and argumentative but at the end of the day we still loved him for it.

Left behind is his wife Brenda; 4 children Bob Jr., Billy, Steven & Holly; 4 grandchildren Jonathan, Morgan, Steve Jr. & Carmen.  He was an Army Vietnam veteran and served with honor.

So what we learned from him was that life is short and often brutal and the best way to combat all that is with a good laugh and to appreciate the small moments of joy, despite any circumstance.

This family is seeking help through donations. If you are unable to donate, then please share and spread the word. The family thanks each and every one of you in advance for your prayers and donations. Please click HERE to help.

Thank you all for your donations.

Sincerely Holliday Family

What our families say...

In my opinion, there is no better facility in Virginia than Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Not only was Chris Sisler there to hold my hand every step of the way, his family members were holding the door on the day of the funeral to help and encourage me. I will never forget their grace. He led me and my family through the process as a personal friend and neighbor, and as the ultimate professional.
