Ronald Leo Hytinen, Jr. died Aug 3rd 2016 in his hometown of Virginia Beach, VA. Ronnie attended Princess Anne High School where he graduated in 1991. He loved his family, his friends, surfing and music.

Ron Ron, age 44, lost his battle with the disease of addiction. He was a good guy, who made some mistakes, and a lot of choices that ultimately took his life. He had a gentle soul and a loving heart, he lived life full throttle. His family is grateful that he is now free. The family offers this advice in their time of grief. Love your addict. Know that they are sick, and don’t allow their sickness to make you a victim as well.

Surviving Ron are his mother, Brooke Dunbar, his father Ronald Hytinen, Sr, two amazing children, Victoria and William Hytinen, sister, Laurie Adcock, her husband Mike and daughter Brookelynn, as well as a huge loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you to consider a donation to one of the many charities for addiction and substance abuse.

Ronnie will be laid to rest in the ocean that he so loved to surf.

“I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.”

What our families say...

In my opinion, there is no better facility in Virginia than Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Not only was Chris Sisler there to hold my hand every step of the way, his family members were holding the door on the day of the funeral to help and encourage me. I will never forget their grace. He led me and my family through the process as a personal friend and neighbor, and as the ultimate professional.
