SOUTH MILLS, NC – Thomas J. Moss, Jr, 83 died April 27, 2016. Thomas was born in Cameron, NC to the late Thomas and Martha Anne Moss. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed woodworking. He is known for his lighthouses he would make. Thomas was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Grace T. Moss and a son, Steven T. Moss.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 9 years, Shirley Taylor; daughter, Barbara Mason (Thomas) of Camden, NC; son, Danny Moss (Donna) of Olathe, KS; step children, Deborah Bagwell (Steve) of IL and Kathy Ward (Gary) of Chesapeake; siblings, Hilda Hughes, Freddie Moss, Josephine Garman; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake on Friday from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.
