Virginia Earlene Windley

July 24, 1944 - January 27, 2018

Virginia E. Windley, 73, went home to be with her Lord on January 27, 2018.  Virginia was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Robert Wells and Alice V. Martinsen.  She spent most of her career working as a bookkeeper.  She later obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant credentials.  Virginia was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Donda R. Sahin of Chesapeake, Robert B. Windley of Chesapeake, and Kenny Windley and his wife Jennifer of Deland, FL; siblings, Barbara Deibler and her husband Frankie of Zuni, VA and Pete Wells of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Erol Sahin, Jayden and Jacob Windley; and her many church family members, especially pastors Dave Libengood and Tracy Gregory.

A life celebration service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1012 N. Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake.  A reception will immediately follow.  The sudden passing of Virginia has caught the family financially unprepared.  Please honor Virginia’s memory and help the family by making a donation in her name at www.TMCFunding.com.
