Stanley Leon "Luc" Lucas

November 10, 1982 - February 20, 2021

Stanley “Luc” Lucas, of Newport News, unexpectedly passed away February 20, 2021, at the age of 38. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Lucas.

Luc was a proud former service member of the U.S. Navy. He assisted with Operation Enduring Freedom as well as many others while he was enlisted as an Electricians Mate. He received the Surface Warfare Specialist and National Defense Service Medals, Global War on Terrorism, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement, Navy Good Conduct, Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service, Expert Pistol Shot, and Meritious Unit Commendation recognition.

He leaves to cherish and honor his memory, his wife, D’Andreah Lucas; his son, Devin Franklin; Cedric Lucas and his family; sister, Clarissa Eshmon and her family; brother, Tavares Lucas and his family; his sister, Joy Lucas and her family; his mother-in-law, Regina Franklin;  his father, Leon Hicks and his family and children; his best friend, Miya Thomas; his godsons, Mikal and Milen Thomas; as well as his brothers in arms from the USS Carter Hall LSD 50; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and friends.

Luc will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA, with Navy military honors.
