Amanda Jenkins Carmichael

August 18, 1965 - July 10, 2021

Amanda Jenkins Carmichael, born to Alton and Girlie Jenkins on August 18, 1965, fell asleep in death on July 10, 2021. Amanda grew up in Hampton, Virginia and graduated from Hampton High School in 1984. The Bible transformed her life and she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 3, 2010. Amanda attended the Victoria Boulevard congregation and remained faithful to her dedication until her death. She was very passionate about Jehovah and teaching about his many promises.

Like the beautiful butterflies she loved, Amanda’s colorful personality was evident to her co-workers, family and friends! She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones to include giving manicures and pedicures to her Mom, teaching her grandkids, dancing, shopping with Kia at Lowes and hosting family gatherings at her home.

Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Alton Jenkins, and her brother, Avery Jenkins. She leaves to cherish her memory two beautiful daughters, LaKia and LaToya Carmichael; a son, JaQuan Jenkins; her mother whom she adored, Girlie Jenkins (her “Boo-Boo”); three sisters,Pamela VaughnSharon BakerBernadette Jenkins; six brothers, Gerl Jenkins, Dennis Jenkins ( Anita “Jewel”), Joe JenkinsGregory Jenkins (Rondalyn), Alton Jerome Jenkins, and Porter Jenkins(Esther); two granddaughters, Kamirrah and Adaya Carmichael; one grandson, Mekhi Carmichael and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and spiritual brothers and sisters.

We will miss her pretty smile and BIG personality until we see her again!
