Annie B. Kubitz

October 27, 1925 - September 16, 2021

Annie Bell Mills Kubitz, 95 years old, departed this earth to be with her Savior on September 16, 2021, at home with her family at her side.

Annie was born October 27, 1925, in Bolton, NC, to the late Aldolphus “Doc” and Nora Mills.

She moved to Virginia in the 1940s where she met and married Joseph Thomas Kubitz, together they raised 4 children until his death in the 1970s. She remained a widow for the rest of her life, telling her children that she could never find anyone as wonderful as their father.

Annie was a devoted Christian with a strong belief and love of her faith. The last few years of her life she was unable to attend service but found comfort with daily reading of the bible, prayer and listening to gospel music. She will be remembered for her kindness and love for everyone. She told everyone she came in contact with that she loved them and that they were sweet angels. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by three children, Joseph Kubitz II, John Kubitz, Joanne Kubitz Neise and husband James Neise; nine grandchildren, Michael Levy, Debbie Levy Rigsby and husband Jon, Clint Levy, Beverly Levy Balser and husband Joe, James Neise Jr. and wife Jessica, Jason Neise, Jeffery Neise and wife Jackie, Joseph Kubitz III, Lauren Kubitz Salinas, Ashley Kubitz, John Kubitz Jr, and Nickolas Kubitz; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; as well as Tracy Dima and many extended family that she deeply loved.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kubitz; daughter, Rachel Kubitz Levy; grandson, Anthony Levy; granddaughter, Julia Kubitz; and 12 siblings, Jasper Mills, Frank Mills, Irvin Mills, Doc Mills, Tylon Mills, James Mills, Charlie Mills, Earnest Mills, Harry Mills, Ruth Mills Owens, Mary Mills DeRenzo and Jeannie Mills Wood.

 A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 25th at Hampton Memorial Gardens in Hampton officiated by Pastor Julian Mills, Sr.

Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel, is assisting with arrangements.
