Arlie Newsome passed away peacefully May 27th at 3:15 pm at his home in Norfolk. He was born in Kentucky to his parents Mr. Virgil Newsome and Mrs. Claire News one.

Arlie served in the Army and retired from Crofton Diving. He loved woodworking and crafts. Mr. Newsome was well respected in the community and loved helping people. Arlie was a joker and a prankster. His smile, sense of humor and attitude was contagious.
He was preceded in death by Patricia Carter and Arlie ( Buddy) Newsome.
Mr. Newsome is survived by daughter Shellia Stoud, son Charles Stroud, 3 grandsons Arlie Shroud & wife Ashley Stroud, Nicholas Stroud & wife Naomi Stroud, Charles ( Bud) Stroud, 3 great grandsons and 3 great great granddaughters.
Daughter Laurie Richards & her husband Larry Richards. Grandson Brian Beaudoin, his wife Tracy Beaudoin, 1 great grandson and 1 great granddaughter.
Son Joe Carter and wife Tammy Carter.
Daughter Terry Sloan and her husband Tyrel Sloan and 2 granddaughters.
His caregivers/neighbors John & Darlene Williams which Arlie had an amazing friendship.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Newsome’s name.
