Barbara S. Garbis, 92, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2017.   She was the devoted wife of Harry N. Garbis, who preceded her in death, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend.

She loved God, trusted in His faithfulness and served those around her.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach.  Her legacy of love, faith and kindness will continue.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memory are her children Glenn Garbis (Nancy) and Karen Lindvall (Terry), and grandchildren Christopher and Caroline Lindvall.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 pm on Thursday, March 2 at First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach by the Rev. Albert G. Butzer III.  The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Alzheimer’s Association or charity of your choice.  Heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Memory Center for their care
