CHESAPEAKE, VA – Bobbie Jean Davies, 63, died December 29, 2019. Bobbie was born in Oneonta, NY to the late Robert and Jeanne Wyckoff. Known for her immense faith, Bobbie frequented New Covenant Fellowship Church in Carthage, NY before becoming a parishioner at several other churches in Virginia and North Carolina. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren – and caring for her animals. An accomplished singer, pianist, and guitarist, Bobbie lent her musical talents to many a grateful audience. She was predeceased by her husbands, William Nolan and William Davies and a daughter, Erica Nolan.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Jeanette Wrestler (Arnold) and Michelle Jenkins (Timothy), both of Chesapeake; step-children, Elizabeth Davies of D.C., William Davies III (Michael) of Kittrell, NC and Jennifer Gurley (Heath) of Clayton, NC; sister, Cheryl Whitmore (Robert); grandchildren, Julie, Annabelle, Cara and Elayna; and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Bobbie at the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, at www.tmcfunding.com. Express condolences to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.

Bobbie was extreamly talented piano player. I grew up with her daughter Jeanette and had MANY sleep overs. Loved hanging with her family and there was never a dull moment. Laughter was something you could always plan on. She was a great mom and a great wife. God has himself an angel for sure.
