Carolyn D. Combs, 86, wife of William E. “Bill” Combs passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her Husband and family. She was the past National President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association. She’s predeceased by daughters Deborah Gilbert and Angela Combs and Grandson Marshall Sawyer.
Survived by sisters Frances Gilbert and Helen Sigmon and brother David Drum, daughters Pamela C. Hodges (Rick) and Debra C. Zachary (Hal), sons Billy Combs, Kent Gilbert (Marietta) and Dan Gilbert (CeCe), grandchildren Jon, Michael, Ryan, Chris, David, Brantley, Donald, Brittny, Meghan, Miles, and great-grandchildren, Brittany, Larson, Delaney, Kent, Makayla, Pasan, Aria, Kennedi, Brantley, Elena, Genevieve, and Colson.
Special thanks to Lona, Karen, Kimberly, Ivy, Sherry and close friends for graciously offering helping hands.
A memorial service will be held Sunday July 17, 2016 from 3:30-5:30 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Greenwich Rd, Va Beach.
