Carolyn Louise Hagood, 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Virginia Beach on February 26, 2021. She was born November 28, 1952 in Moulton, Alabama to the late William Gorman and Mae Bell Hagood.


Carolyn was a veteran of the US Air Force, subsequently she worked as an accountant for Big cap industry’s in Texas. She moved to Virginia to be close with family and follow her passion and pursued studies in mass commutation graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University.  Until retirement she spent her career in social services.


She loved watching movies and shows, created and appreciated arts and crafts, walks along the beach, and spending lots of time with friends, pets, and family. An active member of the community and generously helped those in need, she will be remembered fondly by her friends, neighbors and those who’s been lucky to have met her.


Other than her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her siblings Brian K. Hagood and Virginia (Hagood) Romine.


Left to cherish her loving memory are her two sons, Josh Crocker & Leyna of Moyock, NC and Ben Hagood & Anjelo of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Noah Crocker, Emily Crocker, Luna, Aki, brothers, William C. Hagood of Bessemer, AL, Gary L. Hagood of Jacksonville, FL, Steve C. Hagood of Florence, AL and William G. Hagood, Jr. of Hatton, AL, sister, Janet Hagood of Hillsboro, AL, cousin Shyron E. Shenko, 12 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews and many more extended family members and friends.
