Catherine Egan "Kitty" Carmack

April 4, 1928 - April 20, 2021

Kitty has been a resident of Virginia Beach since 1960. She was born in Atlantic City, NJ and graduated from Holy Spirit High School. She attended Mt. St. Agnes College in Baltmore for two years.
Kitty loved her childhood growing up in Atlantic City with her two brothers, Jim and Tom Egan. There she met the love of her life, Jim Carmack. They were married in 1950 and moved to Virginia Beach where Jim worked for Scott Paper Company. She volunteered her time helping special needs children and teaching kindergarten. She was a member of Suburban Women’s Club.
As the Matriarch, she was devoted to her family. Kitty was predeceased by her husband, James K. Carmack. She is survived by her children, Jim Carmack (Susanne), Cookie Carmack, Mark Carmack (Elizabeth), Cheryl Beam (Jeff); eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
There will be a private service due to the current gathering restrictions.
