Catherine Elizabeth "Catie" Perry

August 1, 1987 - September 28, 2019

Catherine Elizabeth (Catie) Perry passed quietly way on Saturday, September 28th 2019.

Catie was born on August 1st 1987, the daughter of Stephen G. Hammond and Janis Stewart Smith. She grew up in Aragona Village in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she made a handful of good friends who became forever family.

Catie met Danny in 2005 and with him she was blessed with the lights of her life. She loved her boys, she loved to cook, and she loved her family and friends.

Waiting to keep her from being afraid were her Father Steve and her Uncle Rick who also had to leave this world far too soon.

Still here to cherish her memories are her Mom and Dad, Janis and Kenny Smith; her sweet boys Maddox, Edgar and their big brother KK, along with their Dad; her Sisters Jessica Hammond (Darlene), Keri McNulty (Connor) and countless nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind one special peanut, her stepmother, Bonnie Hammond and many, many friends that she loved as close as family.

A memorial service will be held for Catie on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Condolences may be left below.  To assist with the future of her legacy, please CLICK HERE.

What our families say...

In my opinion, there is no better facility in Virginia than Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Not only was Chris Sisler there to hold my hand every step of the way, his family members were holding the door on the day of the funeral to help and encourage me. I will never forget their grace. He led me and my family through the process as a personal friend and neighbor, and as the ultimate professional.
