Haven’t seen you in 40 years but staying in touch on FB was real nice, I remember your smile and your personality and you went to my Senior Prom with me. I wish I could have seen you one more time but I saw your Mom and your sisters and your presence was with them. Till we meet again, Peace, Grace and Love, Joe LaRock

Condolences to the Hull family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, “heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds.” May God bring you comfort and peace.

I meet Cathy when I was only 16 years old when I became one of the last “juniors” in the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. I had joined Davis Corner where Cathy was already a member. She took me under her wing; there were others who did the same, but they were more like moms & dads; Cathy was more like a big sister.

She was very patient with me as I learn all I needed to be a member of the rescue squad. Anytime I saw Cathy at the squad, she was smiling; her smile was so contagious!

We went on calls together that were as simple as stomach pains to as serious as car crashes. I remember sitting on the first aid box in between the front seats of the ambulance as we went on calls so I would not be in the back by myself. We saw many tragedies in our rescue squad days. If one affected me, Cathy was there with loving ams, a listening ear, and of course, a smile!!

My Dear friend and big sister Cathy, I will see you again in heaven. Please wait for me until it is my time to join you. Meanwhile….keep smiling!!

It saddened me to hear of Cathy’s passing. I have many childhood memories of her living in Pembroke Meadows. She always had a smile on her face and was kind to all. May she rest in peace.
