Happy birthday today, my dear friend.. We were best buddies ("Babes") from the time you said, "Hi, what's your name?" That was, 9th grade, Sep 1958 at the Ocean View VFW where we enrolled in the "Tutoring Group" to attend school as the VA Governor had closed Norfolk city schools because of integration. What a time we had from that day. We did get to do the Spring semester at Northside Jr. High and then off to Granby High School for a memorable 3 more years. You and I spent lots of weekend nights together at each other's homes, laughing and reminiscing over what happened the week before....mostly funny and pure laughable things that happened to us. We made it through the teenage years always together, you and me and our other girlfriends, the "Babes." You married Jimmy and I was honored to be a part of your wedding. I'll never forget you and always love you. I'm so glad you shared the same name as my sister, Charlotte. It is so pretty and has such a special place in my heart, my first born also shares your name, Rest in peace beautiful friend. I will see you again.
