Chester Leroy Miller

December 17, 1933 - February 28, 2020

Chester Leroy Miller, 86, of Virginia Beach, Virginia was called to his heavenly home on February 28, 2020. Chester was born in Rock Prairie, Missouri to the late J. Horace Miller and Georgia Marie Chapman. He served honorably in the U.S. Army before settling in Missouri. He leaves behind the love of his life, MaryAnn. They were blessed to share nearly 55 years of marriage. Chester was the Senior Vice President of Citizens State Bank in Nevada, Mo. for 32 years. Then he & Mary Ann enjoyed life on the lake for 20 years in their retirement home in the Ozark Mountains, later moving to Virginia Beach in 2015 to be near family.  A devoted follower of Christ, Chester was always active in his local church serving in such capacities as Deacon and Sunday School teacher.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, MaryAnn; children, Lisa Salser & her husband Kevin; Lana Shumaker and her husband Gary; grandson Matthew Shumaker and his wife Holly. He is also survived by his sister Velma Stevens. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Miller.

A memorial service in celebration of a life well lived will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at London Bridge Baptist Church, 2460 Potters Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23454 with Pastor Greg Brinson officiating.
