CHESAPEAKE- Cindy Alomar, 70, passed away on March 12, 2020. She was born in New York to the late Felix and Elisa Nieves. Cindy worked as an LPN until she retired and was a member of Azalea Garden Church of God in Virginia Beach. Cindy worked as an integral part of the AGC youth ministry team.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Hector H. Alomar, Jr.; son, John D. Alomar; two daughters, Jennifer A. Cowan and husband Fred Cowan Jr. and Patricia F. Meekins and husband Patrick Meekins; two grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas Cowan; and a sister, Gizelle Nieves.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Azalea Garden Church of God, 1541 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach 23464. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 11:00am at Azalea Garden Church of God with Dr. Rodney S. Vickers officiating. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 9am at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Cindy’s memory to the AGC Youth Ministry, 1541 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23464.
