Constance Clawson Zolcinski bravely fought pancreatic cancer for over 6 years before succumbing to this tragic disease on May 31, 2018.  A walking miracle, she inspired all who knew her with her hope for life.  Connie’s family is proud to honor her wishes by donating her tissue for cancer research.

Born May 19, 1946 in Williamsport, PA, she lived life to the fullest as demonstrated by the  Minnie Mouse ears she wore for her painful treatments.  Connie was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Teresa Clawson and her brother Richard Clawson.  She leaves behind her husband of 28 years Charles Zolcinski of Seaford, VA and her daughter Stephanie Tragakis Addikis and husband Marvin of Blacksburg.  Her granddaughters Callia and Maria were the light in her life.

Also surviving are her three sisters and their spouses, Kathy Watkins (John) of Midlothian, Etta Feinauer (John) of Buena Vista, and Mary Pallone (Bill) of Shipman.  Loving nieces, nephews, and friends also mourn the passing of the dynamic woman.

Connie was a graduate of Huguenot High School in Richmond, VA and the College of William and Mary.  After over 20 years as a very successful Tupperware Manager, she obtained her Masters of Special Education from William and Mary and began a second career as a Special Ed teacher in Newport News Public Schools.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, June 7th at Altmeyer Funeral Home in Denbigh Chapel.  Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM followed by a service at 5:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
