Dale Edward Phillips

Passed Away: March 7, 2021

Dale Edward Phillips went to live with the Lord on Sunday March 7, 2021 at his home in Virginia Beach.  Dale was born on February 20, 1958, to Dewey and Anna Mae Phillips.

Dale met the love of his life, Dara Leigh Nichols while working at Home Depot and they were married on August 25, 2001. Upon return from their honeymoon, they resided in Virginia Beach where Dara still lives.  Dale liked to work with his hands as he learned the trade of European Craftmanship from his father, and built many pieces of furniture for their home including their bedroom furniture and cabinets.  He was also featured in Southern Living Magazine.  He worked for True Value where he managed several stores and then moved on to Home Depot for eight years as an associate in the tool department.  It was there that he was diagnosed with MS. Dale was also an avid fisherman. Dale was a member of the Bayside Church of Christ where he loved to sing praises to his Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dara, sister Debbie Abbott of Michigan, brother Terry Phillips of Florida and Aunts Barbara, Marge & Lillian from Michigan, along with cousins and many loving friends.

What our families say...

My family and I are grateful to Angie and the entire Altmeyer team for providing a thoughtful viewing and funeral service for my Auntie. They were kind and respectful through the entire process, listening attentively and carrying out our requests with compassion. Thank you for your help, but most importantly, thank you for your sincerity!
