Dale R. Hatcher passed away December 10, 2020 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dale was born in Quanah, Texas to Bill and Jesse Hatcher. He was a graduate of Quanah High School.
Dale met the love of his life Deanna in 1960 in Honolulu, Hawaii and married shortly after. They traveled the world with Dale’s military career and settled in Virginia Beach in 1973. After 30 years of serving in the Navy, he retired and began a career at Surface Technologies in Norfolk, VA. Dale enjoyed fishing, playing golf and traveling. Most of all he loved his family and the time they spent together celebrating life events.
In addition to being predeceased by his parents, Dale was predeceased by his brother Winston, son Richard Hatcher and granddaughter Karen Lare. Left to honor his memory and carry on his legacy are his wife Deanna, son Mike Lare and his wife Carol, son Harold Lare and his wife Renee, daughter Paula Voight, grandson Jonathon Lare and his wife Alex, granddaughters Ashley Ramocki, Danielle Holt and Ana Lare, great grandchildren Addy, Brody, Scarlett, Alexis, A.J. and Kaysen.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Virginia Beach Christian Church, 2225 Rose Hall Dr. in Virginia Beach. At 2:00p.m. on the same day, Dale will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Rd. in Suffolk.
