MOYOCK – Daniel James Breslin, 84, died July 21, 2019. Daniel was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Patrick and Mary Breslin. He was a veteran, having served in the US Marines Corps. for over 23 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing ,working and above all, spending time with family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Jerrilyn “Jerri” Dyer Breslin; children, Colleen Baez of Moyock and Daniel “Dan” Breslin of Elizabeth City; siblings, Mae McDonald, Connell Breslin, Joe Breslin, Mike Breslin, Rose Nickel, Catherine Veges, and Patricia Kennedy; grandchildren, Katherine, Joshua, Zachary, Austin, Mary, Ally, and Lilly; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. A funeral service with military honors will be held on Thursday at Fellowship Baptist Church, Moyock at 11:00 am with Pastor James Harrington officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Daniel’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association c/o www.TMCFunding.com.
