David was a kind and loving person who always put his family first. He was a humble, simple man who had strong values and an even stronger work ethic. While living in Roanoke, David frequently spent time with his family at the Plunkett farm, where many memories were made over the years.
In Williamsburg, it brought him joy to have his son, Craig in the home and his two daughters and their families living right down the street. Christopher and his family were a short car ride away. He loved being able to attend the grandchildren’s ball games and band concerts. Family trips to the Outer Banks became an annual tradition each summer. Morning walks to the beach to watch the sunrise with Pop were a treasured activity.
David is also survived by three brothers, Wayne Plunkett (Betty), Henry Plunkett, Jr. (Jane), and Donnie Plunkett (Patricia) all of Roanoke, VA; his mother-in-law, Geraldine Wheeler (Jimmy); brother-in-law, Rickey Reedy (Julie) all of Vinton, VA; sister-in-law, Rachel Reedy of Goodview, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
