David Franklin Turner, 65, of Smithfield, VA, passed away Friday, March 12th, 2021.
David was born January 24th, 1956 in Newport News, VA. He was one of four sons to the late Charles and Dorthey Kizer Turner. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Steve Turner.
David and his dog, Bandit, were always on the go. He loved the outdoors. Either fishing at Lynnhaven Inlet or metal detecting. David was also a member of the local YMCA, where he played pickleball, exercised and hung out with his friends. David was a quiet man, always laughing and smiling. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his brothers, Dana Turner and Andrew Turner; his sons, Brice Turner and his wife, Raven Seward, and Charlie Turner; his grandchildren, Cailey Turner, Maddox Turner, and Lawson Turner; nieces, Jenny Vandel, Rebecca Gwaltney; and nephews, Stevie Turner and John Turner.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
