CHESAPEAKE – Edith Mae Bonney Robishaw , 97, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020, at home in Chesapeake. She was born March 17, 1923, in Princess Anne County, the daughter of James Leonard Bonney and Pocahontas Butt Bonney.
Edith married Bill Robishaw in 1947 at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church. She remained a loyal member of the congregation until moving to Chesapeake to live with her daughter in 2012. There she attended Great Bridge United Methodist Church as often as she was able.
In addition to her parents, Edith predeceased by her husband Bill Robishaw, son Jay Robishaw, and sisters Pemmie Mcfarland, Lois Waterfield, India White, and Virginia Allen.
Surviving is her daughter Pam Graven (Jay), grandchildren Ashely Millar (Nick), Lindsey Hardman, Amanda Graven ( Mike Wager), Travis Graven (Carrie), Donna Duceatt (Steve), great-grandchildren Anabelle Millar, Kyle and Jack Duceatt, several nieces and nephews, and David Cook whom she considered a second son.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Raja Bakhshi, of Virginia Beach, for the years of loving care he provided both Edith and Bill.
Those who wish to remember Edith in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Claymore Operations (www.claymoreops.org) or Great Bridge United Methodist Church (201 Stadium Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23322.) Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Express condolences to the family below.

I just saw your mom passed away. Our parents used to hang out together. They met at Square dancing years ago and were part of group of couples. I’m sorry for your loss. My mom was the first in the group to pass in 1992. My dad passed in 2011. They were Ralph and Faye McMahon. Your parents were so awesome! Again, I am sorry for your loss,
