Our beloved mother, Esther Marie Robinson, passed away December 2nd and has joined her husband and other loved ones among the angels.
We are so proud of our beautiful mother, who worked hard to achieve every goal in her life. She helped create a successful flooring business with her husband (that thrived 40+years), was a proud member of the Great Bridge community, a strong believer, a whiz in the kitchen, a professional Christmas shopper, disciplined about her fitness, and happily raised her four kids and two grandchildren all the while. Although she enjoyed so many things: family pool days, steamed shrimp, mall walking, country music, a tidy house, a good bargain, the Real Housewives, and big family gatherings, her proudest moments were in the successes of her children and grandchildren. She was an incredibly nurturing soul and wore her motherhood like a badge of honor, and she was the first person to offer support, before we even asked. At get-togethers you could be sure if you asked her to bring a dish, she’d show up with ten, and then do the dishes afterwards! She was the best mother, hands down, and she leaves an irreplaceable hole in this family. We treasure our memories.
We will miss her sassy humor, cowboy caviar, fashion sense, loving advice, daily texts, inability to throw anything away and even patiently helping her figure out her iPhone. We know that when she reached the pearly gates she was overjoyed to be greeted by her parents Richard & Esther, adored sister Dottie, and to be reunited again with her loving husband Doyle. She is survived by her four children Mark, Troy, Joni and Leesa (+ Echard), two grands she raised, Justin (+Rhiannon) and Amber, and grands Bradford (+Rae), Casey, Gage and Sophie, and a bevy of great grands that were the apple of her eye. She also leaves behind her best friend and sister Sandy and the nieces and nephews she loved.
As sad as we are that she is not here in our world with us, for we already miss her terribly, we are grateful she is pain-free and with her Lord and Savior.
Please join us in celebrating her precious life Saturday, December 12, 3pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home on 5033 Rouse Drive VB. We’d love those who wish to share a story or memory to do so, at the podium or from their seat. The ceremony will also be live-streamed for this who cannot attend, and there will be refreshments immediately afterwards at the facility.
