Evelyn B. Neiswonger, 81, died Monday, July 23, 2018. She was born in New York City in 1937, she was a military wife who was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul and they spent 20 years traveling the country with the Army and settled in Virginia. She is survived by her son, Paul Neiswonger and daughter, Nancy McLain, son-in-law, Donald, and 2 grandsons, John and David. Evelyn loved flowers and was a charter member of the Kiln Creek Garden Association started in 1994. She remained a member and helped with fund raisers, programs, and other garden club projects.

She was always an active member in her community and for the past 20 years Evelyn lived in  Kiln Creek. She gave her time and talents on the Kiln Creek Homeowners Board of Directors for 10 years. She also chaired the Social Action Committee where she planned social activities for residents. Evelyn was also active in Willow Point, her community home owner’s association where she was President for many years.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Evelyn Neiswonger would like to help the Garden Association fulfill her dream of having a Butterfly Garden in the community for everyone to enjoy.

Kiln Creek Garden Association would like to plant a butterfly garden in memory of Evelyn Neiswonger for her 20 years of service to the club. This project was a dream of Evelyn’s and the club would like to see her dream come true.Donations will be matched by the Kiln Creek Garden Association.
