VIRGINIA BEACH- Foster John Anderson, Jr., 87, died on Friday, January 15, 2021. Foster was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Foster John Anderson, Sr. and Marie Agnes Miller Anderson. Foster retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Master Gunnery Sergeant after serving for 21years. He was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, Foster was predeceased by his wife, Dana Jacqueline Anderson; daughter, Carol Lynn Collins; brother, David Anderson and a sister, Bette Gifford. He is survived by his daughter, Karen McCullough and her husband, Richard; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Sherman of Hudson, MA. and Beverly Bakke of Centereach, NY.; and brother, Michael Anderson.
The family will receive family and friends for visitation at Haygood United Methodist Church, 4713 Haygood Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23455 on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 12:00pm with Reverend Tammy Estep officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
