Frances S. Carnright

February 25, 1925 - January 15, 2018

Frances Ednah Schaller Carnright, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the age of 92 years. She was born in Schenectady, NY on February 27, 1925 to the late John Schaller and the late Evelyn Martha Warren Schaller. She was a graduate of Harvard University’s Radcliffe College where she attained a degree in Economics. Frances spent her life caring for her family. In her free time, she was an officer in the Eastern Virginia Women’s Task Force of the United Church Christ, was a past treasurer at the Christian Church Uniting where she was a member, and was one of the original contributors to the Eastern Virginia Medical School and has given each year.

Frances’ legacy of her family includes her late, beloved husband Frederick Stanley Carnright who passed away in 2015; daughter Martha Kilmer and her husband John; daughter Lucille Landen and her husband Tom; son, the late Stanley Carnright and his wife Patti; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; brother, the late Warren Schaller; and other family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Christian Church Uniting (6049 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA) at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions appreciated to Pemphigus Pemphigoid Foundation, Eastern Virginia Medical School, The Christian Church Uniting, or Heartland Hospice.
