Passed Away: February 27, 2021

Daniel Curtis Taylor, 81, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away on Saturday 27, February 2021. He was born to parents Leon and Onella, on 23 July 1939 in Norfolk, VA. Daniel worked as a Shipwright for 35 years at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, which he retired from in 2005. Affectionately known as “Cowboy Dan” he was more than an avid Dallas Fan; attending many games. He also enjoyed Country Music, Sporting Events and Attending Church at Fairview Church of Christ. Daniel met Jane Taylor in 1958. They were married on May 11 1963 in Norfolk Virginia. Together they raised one child Teresa Taylor-Olah. Daniel is survived by his daughter, Teresa, grandsons, Daniel Clay Olah and Dylan Olah, his wife Audrey and Great Grandson William. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane, His Brother Herbert Taylor and his Sister Katherine Turner. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 7 at 2pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 8 at 11am at Altmeyer Funeral home, followed by an internment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
