Born 4/8/88 in Memphis, TN. Passed away 9/26/19 with his loving parents by his side in Virginia Beach, VA.
Boarding agent apprentice at T. Parker Host
Student at Tidewater Community College
Leaves behind his beautiful daughter, Evelyn Mai (Evy), who was his pride and joy. He also leaves his parents, Mark and Mary; his brothers, Nathan and Clayton; his nephew, Liam and niece Adaleigh; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jacob lived life to the fullest and loved the beach, fishing, shooting pool, swimming, water skiing, and spending time with family and friends. He could make a mean omelet and loved to experiment in the kitchen with Evy. He enjoyed a good rare steak, but appreciated the seafood of Virginia Beach where he loved spending his time and eventually called home. He was attending college as an apprentice for T. Parker Host who described him as an exceptional employee. He enjoyed telling of his adventures boarding cargo ships and meeting ship captains and had just completed his first solo cruise ship boarding. He was an on again/off again fan of country music (the “on again” was much to his brothers’ chagrin) and enjoyed acoustic alternative-rock. Whatever style of music it was, he had a fondness for songs that told a story. An avid reader, his favorite book was On the Road (Jack Kerouac). He was a very shy infant and toddler. He rode his mom’s hip till he was 5. Later on he became outgoing and was extremely personable. He could talk to anyone about anything and never failed to surprise them with his intellect and his impeccable memory. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
